Office communicator 2016 status not updating
Author: Collin Hoag Publication date: May 2010 Product version: Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 Have you ever been in a meeting and then started receiving instant messages or phone calls because your presence shows you as available?
When Communicator uses Microsoft Office Outlook as its personal information manager, it can change a user’s presence automatically based on Microsoft Exchange Server free/busy information.
What you need to do is to go to the entry for Communicator and change the dword value to 0.
Our GP & Practice Manager Conference was held on Thursday 11th May.
After deleting the OOO and adding a custom message it cleared the flag but then clearing the custom message the OOO flag returned.
So I have re-added custom message rebooted client and it has now resolved the issue.
The system appears to be confused, thinking that both Communicator (the old name for Lync) and the current version of Lync are available.######Update###### 02/09/2013 I have recently come across this issue again but the resolution was different. The Lync Client was 2010 running July 2013 Update against a Lync 2013 Server Enterprise Pool.Recently after upgrading one Office 365 user from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013, his Outlook 2010 was no longer displaying the "presence" indicators - the little green/red/yellow status bubbles next to people's name.It seems there can be a variety of different causes and fixes, but in this case, the following information is what helped me out.
